Petronas Twin Towers

12.05.2009 Kuala Lumpur
We arrived early to line up for observation deck tickets at the iconic twin towers, which were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004.

The contemporary art gallery, Galerie Petronas, had interesting exhibitions of works by US-based painter and sculptor Eng Tay, and photographer Liew Kung Yu.

The Skybridge observation deck is on level 41, less than half way up the towers. Having visited the state-of-the-art deck at level 100 of the Shanghai World Financial Center, I was a bit underwhelmed.

Lunch at the food court of KLCC Suria, the shopping mall within the Petronas complex, was surprisingly satisfying.
