Wet indeed, and smelly. Weaving through narrow alleys, I saw chickens both alive and dead, pig trotters, fishes of all kinds, herbs, spices, exotic fruits, vegetables and dried goods. Fascinating, visceral, lively, and somewhat depressing at the same time.
