I've never been to a Sikh Temple before. Several friendly Sikh fellows welcomed me. I had to remove my shoes, wrap a pink scarf around my hair and wash my hands before I could enter the hall upstairs.
The Khanda (consisting of a double-edged sword in the centre, a circular Chakkar, and two single-edged swords called kirpans) is an important symbol in Sikhism.
